LUMEN POP: Color Coding
Project type
Photography
Date
April 2023
Welcome to a space where the line between classic painting and digital technology is completely blurred. The "LUMEN POP" project is a tribute to masters like Warhol and Lichtenstein, filtered through the lens of the 21st century.
What you see are not just canvases—they are "living light objects." The use of LED strips instead of traditional varnish or frames means that art ceases to be static.
Why LED and Pop Art?
Color Vibration: Traditional pigments have their limitations. LED light allows for purity of colors (such as cyan, magenta, or neon yellow) that almost "spring out" from the painting, assaulting the senses with the intensity of Times Square advertisements.
Rhythm and Dynamics: Thanks to the precise arrangement of LEDs, the contours of figures and objects gain depth. Light not only illuminates the work—it becomes an integral part of it, creating an atmospheric aura around each canvas.
A Dialogue with Modernity: Pop Art has always drawn from everyday objects. The use of LED strips – a feature of contemporary interior design – is a nod to mass production and technological accessibility.
"In a world dominated by screens, these paintings are the missing link. They combine the tangibility of a physical work with the energy flowing from electricity."
We invite you to explore this gallery not only visually, but also emotionally. Let the light guide you through a new definition of popular aesthetics.
