POLI-POP Synthetic Nostalgia
When classic meets polymer.
Welcome to a space where the line between high art and mass culture is blurred by a sheet of transparent acrylic. The "Synthetic Nostalgia" project is a dialogue with the legacy of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, transferred to the dimension of contemporary material technology.
Why plexiglass? Traditionally, color and repetition were paramount. We go a step further. Using plexiglass allows for:
Light play: The material conducts and refracts light, making colors "shine" with a life of their own, changing saturation depending on the viewing angle.
Depth effect: By layering motifs on transparent sheets, Pop Art, which is flat by nature, gains a third dimension – becoming an almost sculptural installation.
Sterile aesthetic: The perfectly smooth, glossy surface emphasizes the "consumer" nature of the works, evoking the feeling of new products straight from the box.
What will you see? You'll see pop culture icons trapped within a synthetic structure. It's a tribute to art that isn't afraid to be flashy, yet a manifestation of modernity that draws from the past its most energetic essence.
This isn't just a painting on a wall. It's an object that lives in harmony with its surroundings, reflecting the faces of viewers and becoming a part of their reality.
