LIQUID ASSET Liquid Assets
The "Liquid Asset" project is a provocative installation in which the most recognizable symbol of global capitalism – the one-dollar bill – is artistically deconstructed.
In this project, traditional paper gives way to modern Plexiglas, creating a fascinating paradox:
Liquidity and Fixity: Plexiglas, with its perfect transparency, makes the image of the dollar seem "suspended" in a void. It's a metaphor for contemporary finance – digital, immaterial, yet ruling the world.
Pop Art Explosion: The classic green of the bill is broken by garish neon colors and expressive brushstrokes. This is a nod to the Pop Art tradition, which took everyday objects and elevated them to the altars of the gallery.
Added Value: By encapsulating the dollar in a shiny, polymer form, the artist asks: what gives an object value? Is it a denomination printed by a bank, or the creator's unique vision, transforming ordinary paper into an object of desire?
"Liquid Asset" is not just a painting. It is a mirror reflecting our fascination with luxury, pop culture, and the aesthetics of excess. The transparent sheet of Plexiglas invites the viewer to peer beneath the surface of money and perceive its pure artistic form.
